SSEN Transmission holds a range of accessible in-person and virtual events throughout the year to engage with stakeholders, customers and communities on our proposals, projects and policies.

As a stakeholder-led organisation, our stakeholders are encouraged to participate in engagement events as your feedback informs our decision-making and enriches the important work we have to do along our pathway to net zero.

  • Fasnakyle – Bingally 132kV Connection: Alignment Options Public Consultation Event

    We invite all interested stakeholders to attend our public consultation event where we will be presenting our alignment options for the Fasnakyle – Bingally 132kV connection. This event follows our route consultation that was held in March 2025. Please note this event is being jointly held with our Tomchrasky wind farm connection project where we will also be presenting alignment options for this connection.

  • Shin to Loch Buidhe

    We are holding a consultation event for our proposed Shin to Loch Buidhe replacement overhead line project. We are presenting our approach to developing the new Shin to Loch Buidhe replacement overhead line, due to an increase in onshore wind generation around the existing Shin and Loch Buidhe substations.

  • Fetteresso 132kV substation Upgrade

    We are pleased to be hosting a pre-application consultation event for our proposed upgrade to the existing Fetteresso 132kV substation, located within Fetteresso Forest. During our drop-in event, you will be able to view further information about our proposed works, meet the team, ask questions and share feedback ahead of our second public event later in the year.

    We are holding a consultation event for our proposed Gills Bay to Thurso South Connection project. During this consultation, we are presenting our approach to developing the alignment selection. Our consultation includes information regarding our alignment process, the planning process, environmental and engineering considerations and maps which aim to give stakeholders and community members a better visual representation of the work on the project to date.
