How we're embracing artificial intelligence (AI)
Running, growing, and developing our business may involve the use of Artificial Intelligence (Al) technologies in the near future. Going forward, we may use Al to support our people with the analysis of stakeholder/customer feedback, questions received through our public consultations, surveys and events and to analyse correspondence sent to our internal teams. The intention of the AI is to assist us in understanding a snapshot of the key areas that were raised in the feedback and correspondence.
This will allow us to efficiently identify and understand stakeholders' concerns relating to areas of our projects that may require extra focus. We are not changing our purpose of why we collect this data, simply our use of Al compliments and enhances the efforts of our dedicated teams. This approach allows us to combine the strengths of Al-driven insights with the invaluable expertise and human intelligence of our people. This is a private tenant AI (meaning it stays within our IT estate).
We'd like to reassure our stakeholders that any data that may be processed at a future date by our new Al tool, will not be introduced into any public AI (such as Chat GPT), or used to train any AI model.
For information on how we're embracing AI in SSEN Transmission, please visit our dedicated web page.
