SSEN Transmission consults on Bhlaraidh wind farm extension connection plans
On 10 and 11 November SSEN Transmission will host three online consultation events to engage with the stakeholders on its plans to provide a connection for Bhlaraidh wind farm extension located on the Glenmoriston Estate, north-west of Invermoriston in the Great Glen.
The consultation events will present the preferred route and technology for the new overhead line which will run from between Bhlaraidh wind farm extension substation and Fort Augustus substation for approximately 20km. SSEN Transmission are seeking feedback from local stakeholders on their plans to help inform a more detailed route and alignment study.
To facilitate the consultation events SSEN Transmission has developed an online consultation tool, to enable the local community to experience the full exhibition from home on a computer, tablet or mobile device, whilst maintaining Government guidance on social distancing. The online exhibition has been designed to look and feel like a real consultation in a community hall, with exhibition boards, maps, interactive videos and the opportunity to share views on the proposals.
Project Manager Mark Baxter said: “We are very early on in the development of the project and as a responsible developer we are keen to work closely with the local community to consider their views
“We encourage anyone who might be interested in our proposals to join the virtual consultations where you will be able to engage directly with our project team, via a live chat function, where they can ask any questions they might have about the project and share their feedback on the current proposals.”
The virtual consultation events will be taking place as follows:
10 November 2020 13:00 - 15:00
10 November 2020 17:00 - 19:00
11 November 2020 14:00 - 16:00
