SSEN Transmission make shortlist for excellence in planning awards
SSEN Transmission have made the shortlist for In-House Planning Team of the Year at this year’s Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) Awards for Planning Excellence 2021. This is the second year running the team have been shortlisted.
The RTPI Awards for Planning Excellence are the most established and respected awards in the UK planning industry. Running for over 40 years, they celebrate exceptional examples of planning and the contribution planners make to society. Despite a very challenging year the RTPI, received a fantastic number of entries this year, the judges have been very impressed by the high quality of the submissions.
The In-House Planning Team of the Year shortlist recognises the work of SSEN Transmission Consents and Environmental team in supporting the development of a network for net zero in the north of Scotland. This is putting SSEN Transmission at forefront of delivering sustainable infrastructure across the north of Scotland assisting the Governments’ Net Zero ambitions. The continued success of the team in securing planning consents, often in challenging and sensitive natural environments, has played a key role in supporting our proud track record of delivering major projects on time and on budget.

The winners will be announced during a ceremony held virtually in the Awards Room on Evessio at 4pm on Thursday 29 April 2021.
