The UK Government’s recent British Energy Security Strategy has reaffirmed the central role of the energy sector in achieving the national commitment to net zero greenhouse gas emissions. To meet this ambition we must significantly invest in our electricity networks and accelerate the delivery of new capacity. Innovation is essential – developing and deploying world leading technologies and operational practices. At SSEN Transmission we whole-heartedly embrace the challenge, with a dedicated Transmission Innovation team who are focused on delivering solutions to help us reach these ambitions.
