WATCH: New transfomer arrives at Kinardochy Substation
After almost two years of planning, we safely moved our huge static compensation transformer – weighing around 195 tonnes – from Dundee to its final location at our #Kinardochy Substation development!
The complex delivery, which took place earlier this year, involved careful coordination and planning with Police Scotland, Local Authorities, Transport Scotland and BEAR Scotland – with specialist haulier Allelys ensuring the new transformer arrived safely on site.
The new transformer is one of the largest components in the new Kinardochy Substation project and will play a key role in enabling the connection of new renewable energy to the grid, helping to deliver a network for net zero.
