The RIIO-T3 price control period covers a critical five-year time period in the national endeavour to deliver a cleaner, more secure and affordable energy system for this generation, and future generations too.

And our RIIO-T3 plan sets out how we will deliver the investment that is needed to help achieve Scotland and the UK’s ambitious energy security and net zero targets, unlocking the major clean power contribution that the north of Scotland can make, all whilst delivering for society – and the communities our network serves – along the way.

RELIABLE ENERGY – CLEAN POWER – OUR LEGACY

Underpinned by our exceptional track record in keeping the lights on for homes and businesses across the north of Scotland, our Reliable Energy goal targets zero interruptions to electricity supplies for homes and businesses.

Building on our equally proud track record of delivering major capital investments efficiently, our plan also aims to deliver the major upgrade required to the north of Scotland’s transmission system, unlocking the region’s potential to be a clean energy powerhouse – and our Clean Power goal will see our network have the capability to meet 20% of the GB demand for clean energy.

And equally importantly, in what we believe is one of the biggest investment programmes that the north of Scotland has ever seen, Our Legacy goal will work to deliver transformational benefits for local communities, the economy and for nature too.

Our investments will unlock thousands of direct and indirect jobs, create significant opportunities for existing and new businesses and supply chains, and establish a lasting environmental legacy too.

This plan is based on what we believe to be the most extensive listening exercise ever conducted across the north of Scotland – with projects being developed in close consultation with communities and other stakeholders.

And with the supply chain secured and in place for our main strategic investments – we stand ready to deliver this highly ambitious and achievable plan for consumers, customers and wider society.

We’re now looking forward to working with Ofgem and wider stakeholders to achieve our collective ambition of a low-cost clean energy transition.
